International Competition 2011 takes place to inspire new enthusiasm among ceramic artists throughout the world to create new works.
There are no longer any categories for entries.
The competition is even open to those works mixed with other materials and techniques and fused with other genres of art. More entries by more enthusiastic artists than any other times are expected as a result. The primary screening is done with images of works, and final selection of prize-winning works is done with the actual works.
The awards ceremony will be held on September 23, 2011. The exhibition International Competition will be held at Bandal Art Museum (formerly Yeoju World Ceramic Livingware Gallery) in Yeoju, separate from the main exhibition, Ceramics Commune, held in Icheon.
Winners will be awarded as follows:
One Grand Prize: $50,000 (before taxes)/ Three Gold Prizes: $20,000 each/ Six Silver Prizes: $10,000 each/ Six Bronze Prizes: $6,000 each/ Six Special Prizes: $2,000 each/ Five Juror's Choices: $1,000 each/ About 170 Honorable Mentions
