Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum is the centerpiece of Gonjiam Ceramic Park. It presents permanent exhibitions on ceramics dating from ancient times, when ceramics were first made in Korea, to modern times. Its primary mission is to help the general public better understand the history and tradition of Korean ceramics. It is a veritable treasure house of regional cultural heritage and offers various programs for the public.
Gonjiam Ceramic Park will open to the public in July for the duration of the summer school break with various hands-on programs for visitors to experience the Paleolithic Age. Gonjiam Ceramic Park, the final part of the new ceramics tourism cluster after Yeoju Dojasesang and Icheon Cerapia, will reveal its completely new look in 2013.
