The Icheon World Ceramic Center is a ceramic culturecomplex equipped with four grand xhibition egalleries to display diverse and upcoming trends in ceramic art and to show the works of important ceramists in a permanent display. We lead the global ceramic trends through presenting various aspects of contemporary ceramic art anddiscovering young artists through special exhibitions.
The complex is also the nation’s largest ceramic cultural space. It houses the Ceramic Research and Development Center which supports ceramic artists as well as the public, and is equipped with a seminar room, Dojamangwondang,a special library for ceramics, online shopping mall, etc. The complex also includes Clay Park, a hands-on activity are a for children to learn about clay, and a traditional wood-firing kiln to allow the public to observe and learn about the making ceramic.
