Icheon Cerapia, modern art space for creativity and fusion

Cerapia, a combination of the words ‘ceramics’ and ‘utopia’, means the utopia of ceramics. The CeraMix Creativity Center, the heart of Cerapia, is a multicultural space that includes a residency and workshop where artists can concentrate on creating works of art, and facilities for visitors to have hands-on experiences. There are also galleries that present exhibitions on diverse ceramics.

The CeraMix Creativity Residency Studio on the first floor of the CeraMix Creativity Center, among others, attracts visitors for demonstrations on blowing and lampworking by glass artists as well as ceramic artists. Other facilities include the storage-type art museum Toyaseum, Sanjeong Lake (Gumiho Lake), a space for a special exhibitions (Pavilion), a ceramics shopping mall (Doseondang), and Sori-namu ("tree making sound") to see, learn, and enjoy.

Yeoju Dojasesang, a place for ceramic livingware shopping and culture

Yeoju Dojasesang consists of Ceramics Shopping Mall, which comprises Art Shop, Living Shop, Brand Shop, Gallery Shop, Bandal Art Museum, Bandal Space Shop, and a café. It is a multi shopping space where visitors can see, buy ceramics, make ceramics, rest, and enjoy themselves. Taking advantage of the regional characteristics of Yeoju with its many cultural and historic sites including Silleuksa Temple, the tombs of King Sejong and King Hyojong, the birthplace of Empress Myeongseong, and Sejongmun Gate, Yeoju Dojasesang was built as a big hanok building and has become a major landmark of Yeoju.

Gwangju Gonjiam Ceramic Park, ceramic culture place where the past and present coexist

Located in Sam-ri, Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do Province, Gwangju Gonjiam Ceramic Park is home to the royal kilns that produced ceramics for the royal household during the Joseon Dynasty. On this 160-acre park are a sculpture park, ceramics shopping mall, complex culture hall, performance stage, place for visitors to experience the Paleolithic Age, and plaza in front of the museum.

This is a hands-on complex culture space for everybody to see, experience new things, and enjoy themselves. Events and hands-on activities are run all year round centering on Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum, which presents permanent exhibitions of ceramics dating from prehistoric times, when ceramics were first made in Korea, to modern times, and Mosaic Park, which was created through public art work. Food and culture groups, outdoor sports enthusiast groups, and other leisure groups are invited to present performances and events to operate this park as a ceramics tourist complex to experience tradition, culture, and art. It have all of the kinds of facilities for education, pastimes, and recreation that it needs.
